[Temp] Roland's 69th Heavy Panzer Batallion!

World War 2, a time of ultimate sacrifices made by men for their countries and ideas. Where millions lost their lives fighting in the mud or in steel coffins known as tanks. All of Europe a giant killing ground for troops who fight for their Generals, as their Generals fight for their country. Americans, Britons, and Russians at the throats of the German, Italian, and Japanese. Each fighting for their own honor and country...

This is the story of the 69th Panzer Division under the command of Heer General der Panzertruppe Hans Roland, a veteran panzer commander who served in the Afrika Korps under the Desert Fox, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel (1941-1943.) Hans earned the nickname the Desert Wolf under Rommel for his excellent performance in ruthless tank combat in the deserts of Afrika, able to track down and destroy allied tank formations alone. While being the Tank Commander, Hans was always the gunner. His actual gunner acting as his spotter. Hans crew knew that if they were to live through any battle, they were to listen to his orders exactly. Stories of the lone crew, with their captain spread rapidly through the ranks of the Heer and Allied armies. They knew not to go up against Hans and his elite crew. By the end of the Afrika Korp, Hans was promoted to General der Panzertruppe and put into command of the 69th Panzer Division. The 69th was generally deployed to back up Rommel's 7th Panzer Division as it fought through France. After France was liberated under German rule, and the Allied forces devised a plan to take back France, the Germans began their preparation to fortify the English Channel. Rommel advised other Generals that Normandy was the prime landing locale for any Allied invasion, and not that many listened. Rommel deployed Army Group B, along with numerous armored divisions, to defend Normandy's coastal region. And of course, the 69th Panzer Division was there. This marked to beginning of the end for the German forces, but it also marked the years of excellence for the 69th Panzers and Hans.

Unlike other Generals, Hans always prefered commanding from the front lines within the turret of his Tank (Usually a Tiger or King Tiger.) If there were any spearheads or advances, he'd be in it somewhere directly commanding his men to push onward, inspiring them that even their generals know how to fight for the fatherland. General Roland was in command of over 100 tanks, and numerous platoons of panzer-grenadiers to support his devastating armored columns. If there was ever a large tank offensive/defensive, Hans and his Panzers were there!
